// work

Independent since 2013

Working as Quantum Whatever, I've delivered turn-key battery management, end-of-line test, and diagnostics systems across EV, grid, and industrial energy storage. Clients are kept confidential — the work is described by domain.

Selected work

// grid storage

Grid-scale energy storage BMS

Bare-metal battery management architecture and firmware for utility-scale lithium-ion storage — cell monitoring, safety, and diagnostics for large stationary systems.

// heavy truck

Heavy-truck battery management

BMS software architecture and development for commercial heavy-duty electric vehicles, with the diagnostics and service tooling to support them in the field.

// material handling

Forklift electrification BMS

Battery management firmware for electrified material-handling equipment — including charger control communication and algorithms — spanning low-level drivers up through the application and diagnostic stack.

// production test

Battery production-line end-of-line test

Turn-key end-of-line testers and flash tools for battery module production lines — cell voltage and temperature, current, high-voltage, and isolation monitoring — automating validation from PCBA through full pack.

// production test

Automotive transaxle end-of-line test

ECU interface software for end-of-line testing and machine automation of automotive rear transaxles on the production line.

// lab

Battery prototype lab cycler control

Control software for prototype battery lab cyclers — orchestrating instruments and capturing data through development test campaigns.

// data

Measurement data analysis automation

Tooling for MF4 measurement-file analysis, data extraction, and automated report generation — turning raw logs into repeatable, self-documenting reports.

Earlier career

Before going independent, I developed battery management software atA123 Systems (2008–2012) as a founding member of its Michigan-based Automotive Solutions Group, and built human-machine interface and vehicle-network systems at Ford Motor Company(2000–2008) for technology-demonstration vehicles.
